Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company, Jasper, welcomed three summer interns this year. The program focuses on bringing local students into the bank to provide them with career connections, mentorship and networking opportunities while helping the bank identify potential future employees.
This summer, Isaac Briggeman served as an IT intern. He is studying cybersecurity at Ivy Tech Community College after graduating from Barr-Reeve High School in Montgomery. Tori Hemmerlein served as a marketing intern. She graduated from Jasper High School in May and plans to study business at Purdue University. Luke Hinshaw served as a finance intern. He is studying management at Indiana University after graduating from Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City.
Twenty-six students from colleges and universities in Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio and Florida joined the summer intern program at Lake City Bank, Warsaw, this year, including 11 returning interns from previous summers. It marks one of the largest classes the bank has ever had.
The program provides students with real-world experience and the opportunity to explore careers in financial services while also curating a pipeline of future talent for the bank. It hired 25% of last year’s 17-member summer intern class following graduation.

2025 summer interns at Lake City Bank ranged from undergraduate sophomores to a graduate student returning for her fourth summer with the bank.
