Daniel Spungen has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Banking & Finance group. He provides legal guidance with a business perspective, leaning on his studies in finance and economics prior to starting his legal career and his continued focus on the business world throughout law school. J. Taylor Kirklin joined the firm as of counsel in February. He focuses his practice on complex business litigation, government enforcement, internal investigations and white-collar matters. With deep experience representing clients in complex disputes, Kirklin has handled cases involving the False Claims Act, business and commercial disputes, employment claims and environmental regulations. He was named a distinguished fellow by – and serves as treasurer of – the Indianapolis Bar Association. He is also a board member of the Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation. Kirklin earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago and his juris doctorate from the Columbia Law School.

Stephanie Crandall joined the firm as of counsel in March. Based in Fort Wayne, she works with the firm’s government services and finance practices, focusing on municipal finance; bond, underwriter and special counsel services; and economic development. Crandall serves on the boards of United Way of Allen County, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and Hoosier Women Forward, is an alumna of the inaugural class of Hoosier Women Forward and graduated from Leadership Fort Wayne. She is chair of the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne Economic Security Committee and a member of the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association and Allen County Bar Association’s Women Lawyers section. Crandall received Greater Fort Wayne Inc.’s 2024 Champions of Change Award and was named to Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2021. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University and her juris doctorate from the William & Mary Law School.

Former community banker turned digital strategist Eric Cook was named 2024 Agency of the Year by WSI and 2024 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association for his outstanding leadership and impact in helping banks navigate the digital world. He spent 15 years in community banking before moving into digital marketing in 2007 as CEO and chief digital strategist for Cook Technology Solutions, a franchise of the WSI global digital agency network. Cook facilitates IBA’s marketing forum and is a faculty member for the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
